ZACHERY LEMOND MIMS

Zachery Lemond Mims, popularly known as “Zach” by family and friends, was born on August 9, 1974, but went to be with the Lord on March 28,2023.

Zach was a devoted husband to his wife of nineteen years, Mrs. Taliah Najla Mims. He was also a devoted father to two lovely girls, Zyah Symone and Jlah Necole, as well as three stunning boys, Tyreek, Maliek, and Markell.

Zach Carroll was the youngest child of J. C. Carroll and Linda Kay Mims. Zach found humor in everything he did, and his laughter and easy-going nature will be missed by his siblings Chris Mims Sr. (DeEdtra), Marcus “Chap” Chapple (Shonda), and Kenyon Webb, all of Fort Worth, TX.

Zachery grew up in Fort Worth and attended the Fort Worth Independent School District. He graduated from Dunbar High School in 1992, but the Everman Bulldogs will always remember him.

Zach continued his studies by attending Eastfield College before beginning his twenty-year work with Ben E. Keith as Materials Manager.

Zach liked music, sports, especially his Dallas Cowboys, black and white westerns, and old Sandford and Son re-runs in his spare time. Nonetheless, he looked after his house, family, and friends.

Zach was a laid-back person his whole life, often cracking jokes, teasing his wife and children, and enjoying phone discussions with his brothers Chris and Chap if not every day, then every other day.

Zach’s family and friends will have many shared laughs and memories to remember for a lifetime. Heaven has gained a genuine comic.

Zachery L. Mims has a deep love for his family. He leaves to cherish in his memory his loving wife Taliah “Tia” Mims and their five children; beloved brothers Chris, Marcus, and Kenyon; two nephews Chris Mims Jr, Darian Williams; special loved ones David Chivers, and D’ Oria Williams Branch; brothers in-law, father in law Rev. Harold Logan (Farida); mother in-law Paulette Hall (Glenn); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a special childhood friend who preceded him in death Mr. Eric McNair.
