A couple of respected HBCU football projects will contend in another work of art.

Grambling State will play Hampton in the debut Block City HBCU The opening shot Exemplary at Red Bull Field in Harrison, New Jersey.

The opening shot is booked for Sept. 2 at 3:00 p.m. EST

The Exemplary is intended to build consciousness of HBCUs while likewise straightforwardly affecting the City of Newark through the granting of grants, reinforced associations, and neighborhood financial turn of events.

“Hampton College is keen to the welcome to take part in the debut Block City Exemplary and the chance to confront another unbelievable HBCU program, Grambling State College. This will be an extraordinary end of the week for our alums in the New York and New Jersey region to be a piece of an esteemed HBCU exemplary, reconnect with individual Hamptonians, and support our football crew over the Work Day Weekend,” said Hampton President Darrell K. Williams.

Hampton and Grambling State both hope to have breakout years in 2023.

“Our players, mentors, fans, and graduated class are eager to play in the Block City Exemplary against Grambling State College at Red Bull Field. We realize it will be an extraordinary air, and we realize it will be an extraordinary game with two of the best brands in HBCU football having the option to coordinate — two exceptionally hazardous groups. I have a great deal of regard for Mentor Tint Jackson and the manner in which he gets things done. You see the development, you see the hazardousness from his gathering, and we know it will be an amazing matchup,” said Hampton mentor Robert Prunty.

Said Shade Jackson regarding the matchup:

“We’re very eager to play in the Block City Exemplary against the Hampton Privateers to begin our season,” he said. “We’re anticipating going out and about heading out to Newark, New Jersey, and playing this game.”
