A few news organizations were discovered to be sliding.

The news that a transgender organization was attempting to cancel Aretha Franklin’s iconic song “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” was inescapable. The title read, “Aretha Franklin song ‘A Natural Woman’ blasted by transgender ‘activists.'”
“Aretha Franklin’s ‘Natural Woman’ song deemed offensive,” Sky News reported.
“Transgender activists demand international ban on Aretha Franklin’s ‘A Natural Woman,'” the Washington Examiner proclaimed at the top of a classified story.
The Daily Mail‘s title read, “Now Aretha Franklin’s song Natural Woman is deemed OFFENSIVE to trans women,” apparently mocking the idea as a farce.
But, as it turns out, the above news outlets and a slew of others eagerly parroted a story provided by a self-identified pro-trans organization without conducting any fundamental research to verify its veracity.
As a result, the TCMA: Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance — an organization formed just this month in Oslo, Norway — had the last laugh at the cost of media sources that chose to ignore any semblance of a journalistic approach to their coverage of the so-called news.
How it all began
It all began on Friday with a post from the TCMA account accusing Franklin’s song of being transphobic.
The TCMA stated, “Aretha Franklin’s 1968 song ‘Natural Woman’ perpetuates multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes.” “A ‘normal’ lady does not exist. This music has inspired acts of violence against transgender people.”
The organization finished its tweet by asking that “[the song] be removed from Spotify & Apple Music.”
While the tweet itself did not go viral, many of the reactions to it did, including witty comments like: This is garbage. Cisgender means biological women. Transgender men are born men. Your society is now offended by a tune from the era of 1960.
You were UNHINGED! Stop attempting to eliminate real women! We’re not moving anywhere, and your effort will yield no results!
I never criticise the trans community, but this is sheer stupidity. The tune was composed in 1968. Don’t listen to it if you don’t like it. Attempting to have a song written by a blacc lady prohibited turns you into the oppressors you claim to be battling against.
How are things going
On Monday afternoon, TCMA revealed all and criticized all news reports that failed to inquire with the organization for clarification or, at the very least, more information.
The TCMA tweeted, “I am STUNNED that not one media source who reported on the Aretha Franklin tweet even ATTEMPTED to reach this account for feedback. “How could JOURNALISTS not understand that this is parody/satire based on the sheer ridiculousness of the content on this page?”
The post has now been pushed to the top of the account’s timeline.
I’m shocked that not a single media source that covered the Aretha Franklin tweet even TRIED to reach this account for remark.
How could JOURNALISTS fail to recognize this is parody/satire based on the pure ridiculousness of the material on this page? https://t.co/8xTKnil1vs

As further proof of the TCMA’s satirical/parody goal, the organization wrote early Tuesday morning, “Putting pineapple on pizza is transphobic and racist.”
The group’s Twitter bio states clearly that it was “founded January 2023 exclusively by trans individuals, promoting cultural changes to ensure the inclusivity of trans individuals.”
