Kanye West’s Twitter return will be brief.
Elon Musk confirmed Ye’s account had been suspended for inciting hate speech on Friday (December 2). Following his appearance on Alex Jones’ Info Wars program, the multi-hyphenate went on a tweeting spree, suggesting Kim Kardashian had an affair with NBA star Chris Paul and he caught them, as well as posting a swastika merged with a Star of David, which resulted in another suspension.
Knowing a suspension was imminent, Ye posted a shirtless photo of Musk with Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel on a yacht. Emanuel had previously called for a boycott of Ye on Fox News, Drink Champs, and other platforms following his initial string of antisemitic comments.
The allegation that Kardashian slept with Paul sparked a social media firestorm, with the current Phoenix Suns point guard trending overnight.
“I gave it my all. Despite this, he violated our rule against incitement to violence once more. Musk responded to a Twitter user who asked him to “fix Kanye” by suspending his account. “Just clarifying that his account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering photo of me being hosed by Ari,” he later added. To be honest, those photos motivated me to lose weight!”
Before Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of the company, Ye’s Twitter account was suspended. Ye tweeted in October that he was going “DEFCON 3” on Jews.
“I’m a little tired tonight, but when I wake up, I’m going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” he wrote. “The funny thing is that I can’t be anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jews, and you’ve played with me by blackballing anyone who opposes your agenda.”
