The House Select Committee on January 6 decided to refer criminal cases to the Department of Justice.
The committee is expected to push for the unprecedented prosecution of a former president based on the mountain of damning testimony and evidence compiled against Trump.
Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) told reporters that the committee had not narrowed down all of those who could face prosecution.
He suggested that some of the witnesses lied when they were called to testify.
