A 19-year-old man wanted in the September slaying of a 14-year-old boy in South Dallas was arrested on a capital murder charge on Tuesday.
Gregory Ellison is the third person arrested in connection with the shooting death of Manuel Edwards. His bail had not been set as of Tuesday evening, and it was unknown whether he was represented by an attorney.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 25, Dallas police responded to the 2900 block of Al Lipscomb Way and discovered Edwards in a vacant lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He passed away in a hospital.
Trevion Harris, 22, and Alonzo Simpson, 17, were booked into the Dallas County jail on capital murder charges in the case on Thursday. They are also charged with one count of evading arrest, and Simpson is charged with marijuana possession.
They were still being held in custody on Tuesday, with bail set at more than $1 million each. Requests for comment from their attorneys were not reverted.
