Flower Mound police said a Houston woman was arrested on suspicion of stealing multiple checks from churches in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Between November 2 and November 10, Flower Mound police received multiple reports of mail theft and check forgeries and identified 30-year-old Graciela Carolina Munoz Paz as a suspect.

Authorities saw her at a Flower Mound church on Nov. 17 and initiated a traffic stop, where they discovered she had checks made out to multiple churches, according to police. According to police, Munoz was not named on any of the accounts.
Munoz was arrested on November 18 and charged with mail theft, forgery of a governmental instrument, and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information. It is unclear whether she has an attorney.

She was later connected to more than 50 letter thefts in North Texas, according to a follow-up investigation, police said on Saturday.
Munoz was still being held Saturday. She was given a $37,500 bail and is currently being held due to an immigration detention.
The United States Postal Inspection Service was tasked with further inquiry, according to the police.
