11-Year-Old Boy Sets up and Produces a Family-Friendly Sitcom About Smart Kids of Color
Nicholas Buamah Creator Nicks House Sitcom

By Black News Staff

Nicholas Buamah, 11, observed that there were no shows on television that featured intellectual children of colour like himself, so he made one. Nicholas recruited a team of experienced scriptwriters, producers, and a director with the assistance of his mother Danielle, and then started work on his family-friendly sitcom, Nick’s House. Nick’s House is about a 10-year-old business savvy kid who operates a thriving company out of his parents’ house with his pals. When his immature uncle, portrayed by comedian Boogie B. Montrell, comes in to be his caretaker, pandemonium follows.

Nicholas has taken on the roles of program creator, chief director, and star. He is very pleased of the overall production, but he must give credit to the team of pros who assisted him in creating such a famous performance.

Nick’s House was produced by LaMont Ferrell, a Hollywood director. Girlfriends, Moesha, The Office, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, and other notable programmes have been produced by Ferrell. “It was truly amazing to have someone with LaMont’s credentials believe in the project and offer to direct our pilot episode,” Nicholas’ mother Danielle says.

Nicholas is not only a program creator, but also the author of three released works and the founder of works Without Borders, Inc. Despite his already hectic schedule, he makes time to accept honours. Last year, Stonecrest, Georgia, Mayor Jazzmin Cobble gave the young entrepreneur with a proclamation and formally proclaimed July 21, 2022, Nicholas Buamah Day. Nicholas will journey to New York in February to receive the Nina Simone Artistic Excellence Award in Writing, Production, and Philanthropy from the Young, Gifted, and Black (YGB) Entrepreneurial Awards.

Nicholas would like to see the show on Nickelodeon, Disney, Netflix, Hulu, and BET, to name a few networks. With pilot season truly underway, Nicholas is upbeat about the future of Nick’s House.
